Requirements for Incoming Freshmen
Qualified Admission Requirements for students who graduate high school in 2021 or after :
Kansas and Out-Of-State Freshmen Under 21 Years of Age
1. Have a cumulative 2.25 or higher GPA on a 4.00 scale, OR
2. Achieve an ACT composite of 21 or higher OR a minimum combined SAT ERW+M score of 1080.
And, if applicable, achieve a 2.0 GPA on all college credits taken in high school
ACT/SAT super scores will be used for admission and scholarship awards.
Requirements for Transfer Students**
If you are a transfer student with 24 credit hours or more, you must:
Have a minimum 2.00 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale) on all previous college work
If you are a transfer student under the age of 21, with fewer than 24 credit hours, you must:
1. Have a minimum 2.00 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale) on all previous college work and2. Meet the freshman-qualified admissions requirements
To continue in the program at Fort Hays State University, a student must:
1. be a full-time student (12 credit hours or more per semester);
2. be continuously registered (fall/spring semesters) and not to exceed four years of college registration (including registration at previous colleges and FHSU);
3. maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA.
