Admission Requirements
Freshmen
Qualified Admission Requirements for students who graduate high school in 2021 or after:
Kansas and Out-Of-State Freshmen Under 21 Years of Age
- Have a cumulative 2.25 or higher GPA on a 4.00 scale, OR
- Achieve an ACT composite of 21 or higher OR a minimum combined SAT (ERW+M only) score of 1060 (test optional for admission).
And, if applicable, achieve a 2.0 GPA on all college credit taken in high school
ACT/SAT superscores will be used for admission and scholarship awarding.
Kansas Board of Regents NEW Qualified Admissions Frequently Asked Questions
- Complete the Kansas Qualified Admissions Pre-College Curriculum with a minimum grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale. Non-Kansas residents must earn a 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. AND
- Meet one of the following test score requirements: - ACT composite score of 21 or above - SAT score 980 or above for tests taken before March 2016 or SAT score 1080 or above for tests taken March 2016 or after OR
- Rank in the top 1/3 of your high school's graduating class
- Complete coursework equivalent to the Kansas Qualified Admissions Pre-College Curriculum with a 2.0 GPA for Kansas residents/2.5 GPA for out-of-state residents AND
- Meet one of the following test score requirements: - ACT composite score of 21 or above - SAT score 980 or above for tests taken before March 2016 or SAT score 1080 or above for tests taken March 2016 or after *If you register in college courses while in high school, you must achieve a 2.0 GPA or higher in those courses.
- For GED tests from 2014 to the present, you need to have a minimum score of 145 on each sub test and an overall score of 580 to be admitted AND
- Meet one of the following test score requirements: - ACT composite score of 21 or above - SAT score 980 or above for tests taken before March 2016 or SAT score 1080 or above for tests taken March 2016 or after

Transfer Students
If you are a transfer student with 24 credit hours or more, you must:
- Have a minimum 2.00 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale) on all previous college work
If you are a transfer student under the age of 21, with fewer than 24 credit hours, you must:
- Have a minimum 2.00 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale) on all previous college work and
- Meet the freshman qualified admissions requirements
Adult Learner Requirements
If you are an adult learner (21 years of age or older) with no transfer work who obtained their GED:
- On or after January 1, 2014, an overall score of at least 580 and a minimum score of 145 of each subtest.
- On or after January 1, 2002, and before January 1, 2014, an overall score of at least 2,550 with a minimum score of 510 on each subtest.
- Before January 1, 2002, with an overall score of at least 250 with a minimum score of 50 points on each subtest.
If you are an adult learner (21 years and older) with no transfer work, you must:
- Have graduated from an accredited high school or met the above GED requirements.
