Department of Physics Student Organizations
FHSU Physics and Engineering Club
A unique organization, the Physics and Engineering Club brings together a departmental club with the FHSU chapters of the national Society of Physics Students and Sigma Pi Sigma to create a way for students to share their science interests with others. The Physics and Engineering club hosts a variety of events for area students including the annual Science Quiz Bowl for high school competitors and the Physics Roadshow, which showcases science phenomena to students of all ages. Don't worry, it's not all work and no play. This club also organizes pizza parties and participates in annual campus events like TailGreat. To get involved, contact the club advisors. FHSU Astronomy Club
The FHSU Astronomy Club exists to give both students and the public the opportunity to observe the night sky with telescopes located on the Tomanek Hall Observation Deck and in the Albertson Hall astronomy tower. Student members staff the Observation Deck and host public events so that community members may utilize the telescopes.
