Psychology Club
Open to anyone interested in psychology, the Psychology Club provides you opportunities to deepen your educational experience through volunteer activities that promote the health of the community as well as club members. Community outreach activities, such as Depression Awareness Week and Mall-o-ween, give you the chance to develop relationships with faculty outside the classroom and build your leadership skills. Learn more about psychology, gain experience in the field and have fun at the same time.
Psi Chi
Psi Chi is the National Honor Society in Psychology. If you meet the requirements for membership, you will gain recognition for academic excellence in psychology, an honor you can note on resumes. Get involved at a local, regional, or national level to learn more about careers in psychology, network with students and professionals, and attend conferences. Psi Chi encourages student research through award competitions, and it provides you opportunities to present your own research at regional and national psychological association meetings.
Graduate Association of Students of Psychology
GASP offers a social network that can help you adjust to the life of a graduate student. GASP activities give you the opportunity to have fun, relax and form friendships with fellow graduate students and faculty. Informational meetings keep you up-to-date on academic and social events. Interaction with faculty will also help you transition from the college atmosphere to the professional world.
Beyond activities found in the Department of Psychology, majors become part of many campus-wide organizations, such as Greek life, Student Government or more than 100+ official clubs and organizations. Can find what you're looking for? As an FHSU student, you can even start your own club. For more information, check out the Center for Student Involvement (CSI) Web site.
