Fort Hays State University and the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences are proud to offer currently enrolled FHSU students a unique, innovative degree that enables them to meet their short-term education goals, while promoting their long-term personal development.
An Associate of General Studies provides opportunities to study topics that attract your interests, transform your existing skills, and intelligently adapt your learning to meet your academic and professional goals.
The Associate of General Studies degree, which can be an intermediate step on your path to a bachelor’s degree, provides the freedom to select an emphasis and continue to build foundations that allow you to invent your own future.
Students not currently enrolled at FHSU, as well as current FHSU students, may be admitted to the Associate of General Studies program’s emphasis in Massage Therapy, which also requires the completion of the 32-hour massage therapy certificate.
Students looking to investigate all their academic and career options prior to committing to a specific degree are best served in the Exploratory major.
Exploratory majors are advised in the Academic Advising and Career Exploration Center for 1-2 semesters to research options and develop an educational plan while completing general education requirements.
