Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
The DNP graduate is prepared to work in a variety of health care settings as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). DNP students assume key leadership roles and participate in executive decision-making processes for best patient care outcomes.
Post-Master’s Nursing Certificates
A Post-Master's Certificate in Nursing Administration or Nursing Education can enhance your knowledge base or employment opportunities. The Post-Master's Certificate in Nursing Administration includes courses NURS 861 Complexity in Health Care Organization, NURS 862 Administrative Management in Health Care Organizations, and NURS 876 Apprenticeship: Nursing Administration. The Post-Master's Certificate in Nursing Education includes courses NURS 866 Teaching Strategies in Nursing, NURS 867 Apprenticeship: Teaching Strategies, NURS 868 Curriculum Planning: Nursing Education, and NURS 869 Apprenticeship: Nursing Education Curriculum Planning. A Post-Master's Nursing Certificate can be added to a current MSN or DNP plan of study or taken after the program completion. If taken after the MSN or DNP program completion, students will need to apply as a non-degree NURSING seeking student through the Graduate School.
Any 6 credit hours within the Nursing Administration or Nursing Education track courses will count towards a badge. Certificate or badge will be sent to the student upon successful completion of the required credit amount.
