Completing Required Prerequisites
If you have been admitted to a graduate program and are required to complete prerequisites and/or leveling courses, here is some helpful information on what you need to do next!
-
Apply as Graduate Non-Degree Seeking.
- When prompted for a Program of Study, please make sure to select Graduate Non-Degree (Prerequisites).
- Selecting the correct program provides our team instant context for why you are creating this application, allowing us to streamline your application and associated processes. Selecting the incorrect program may delay these processes.
- For Anticipated Start, please scroll through all options, and choose the most current or earliest semester.
-
Complete and Fully Submit the Application.
- Yes, unfortunately, you will need to pay the $40.00 application fee again. However, this will be refunded in 7-14 business days once the application is processed.
- After you pay the fee, you will often be redirected to the first page of the application. In this scenario, make sure to click through all the pages you have already filled out, and click the final submission button that follows the Application Fee Payment page.
-
Allow the Application to Process.
- Please allow the system and our team up to five business days to process and sync this new program of study with your existing master's degree-seeking one.
- You will receive a formal non-degree seeking admission email once it is completed
-
Expect an Action Item in Workday for FAFSA.
- If you do not qualify for FAFSA, you can skip this step. This action item should not appear for you.
- If you did complete the FAFSA, you will receive an action item in Workday with a coursework verification form to be completed with your faculty advisor.
- Once that is submitted, the Financial Assistance Office will be able to package your federal aid if all other required financial aid documentation is completed.
- If you completed the FAFSA but do not intend to use it for your prerequisites, you will need to contact the Financial Assistance Office using an Aid Change Sheet and state that you no longer want to receive financial aid. Once that has been processed, your action item will be updated accordingly.
-
Contact Your Advisor for any Registration Assistance.
- If there is still an advising hold on your account when you attempt to register, you will need to contact your advisor to remove this.
- If you need any assistance navigating Workday, our TigerTech team has created a variety of Workday Student Resources for Student Registration Activities. If you need any additional assistance, your advisor will also be a great resource!
