The Office of Scholarship and Sponsored Projects provides different workshops for Fort Hays State University faculty, staff and students:
- Grant Writing: These workshops are suitable for the beginning and experienced grant writer (Faculty and staff only)
- Human Subjects Research and the FHSU IRB Process: Faculty, staff, and students. Class presentations available by appointment.
- Responsible Conduct of Research: These workshops cover general and specific aspects of RCR (Under development)
- Undergraduate Research: Faculty workshops (Under development)

Grant Writing Series
Grants 101: Introduction to Grant Writing Suitable for the beginning grant writer and for anyone who wants to refresh their skills - Faculty and staff only
Finding Funding This workshop demonstrates how to search for grants using InfoEd, GRC, Grants.gov, Foundation Center and other strategies. Discussion will also cover trends in funding. Faculty and staff only.
Federal Grants Federal grant opportunities such as NSF, NIH, NEA, NEH, Department of Education, and others will be discussed. Strategies for funding federal grants and developing competitive proposals will be shared. Faculty and staff only.
Advanced Grant Writing This workshop will cover strategies for proposal development and writing. It is recommended that participants have a basic knowledge and/or some experience with grant proposals. Faculty and staff only.
Human Subjects Research Workshop Series
Using IRBNet at FHSU All human subjects research at FHSU must be submitted using IRBNet. Open to faculty, staff and students who conduct research involving human subjects.
