Bachelor's degree in Applied Leadership
With a Bachelor of Applied Science in Applied Leadership from Fort Hays State University – offered on-campus and online – service members, transfer students, and community and technical college students can maximize previously earned credits to complete this program in less than four years.
The BAS program was created to bridge the gap in completing a bachelor's degree for those with non-traditional educational backgrounds. This program allows students to obtain a certificate in Leadership Studies, an associate degree in Technology Leadership, and ultimately a bachelor's degree in Applied Leadership by recognizing and building upon their prior experience.
The BAS in Applied Leadership creates opportunities and prepares you for a variety of careers, such as:

| Students must satisfy general education requirements in the eight designated areas for a total of 34 credit hours. |
| Leadership Studies Concentration - 30 hours |
| Students must take 30 hours of required and elective courses in Leadership Studies. |
| Applied Learning - 56 hours |
| The BAS in Applied Leadership focuses on American Council on Education (ACE) credit attained from the Joint Service Transcript (JST) or vocational/technical education courses, which fit into a course-by-course basis transfer approach. |
