Bachelor of Science in Chemistry American Chemical Society Approved
Students interested in a career in the chemical industry or graduate study in chemistry should register in the Bachelor of Science program. Changes in the program to meet the specific needs of each student may be arranged in consultation with the student's adviser. Students planning a career in medicine or graduate study in biochemistry should include Biochemistry I and II in their program, or follow the Biological Chemistry (Biochemistry) emphasis. The department of Chemistry also offers a Bachelor of Science degree with a Biological Chemistry (Biochemistry) emphasis and an Environmental Emphasis.
