Governor Sam Brownback Appoints FHSU Graduates Kathryn J. Mitchell, CPA and Denise Denning, CPA to the Kansas Board of Accountancy
On December 13, 2011 Governor Sam Brownback appointed Kathryn J. (Kathy) Mitchell, CPA to a 3-year term on the Kansas Board of Accountancy. Kathy is the Operations Partner for Brungardt Hower Ward Elliott & Pfeifer, LC in Hays, KS and received a bachelor's degree in accounting from Fort Hays State University. She joined the KSCPA in 1982 and was named Experienced Leader "Woman to Watch" by the AICPA/KSCPA in 2010.
On February 7, 2012 it was announced that Governor Sam Brownback appointed Denise Denning, CPA to the Kansas Board of Accountancy. Denise is an Audit Partner and the Audit Services Practice Leader in the Wichita office of Grant Thornton, LLP. She received her bachelor's degree in accounting from Fort Hays State University and is a member of the KSCPA and AICPA.
