We Are Always Open and World Ready for Students Everywhere
We live in an increasingly interconnected global community where technology enables us to engage with peers, colleagues and professors around the world to cultivate relationships and fast-track collaboration in real time.
Fort Hays State University encourages and supports the development and delivery of high-quality academic programs abroad through our partnerships with other universities, colleges, governmental agencies and special organizations. Our international partnerships help provide easily accessible programs online to expedite learning for students everywhere.
The Office of Global Partnerships facilitates educational partnerships to make more international academic opportunities possible. These global strategic partnerships have become increasingly important in defining the Fort Hays State University outlook as being a “regional university with a global outlook” together with our brand of “Forward thinking. World ready.”
Expanding Academic Opportunities for Our Global Students
Our goal is to identify, negotiate, establish, contract and assist in maintaining educational and business relationships or partnerships, generating student credit hours and non-credit opportunities for FHSU's academic and student affairs units. These opportunities extend the reach of FHSU both for undergraduate and graduate education.
Our primary focus, due to the size of the initiatives, is the academic operations of FHSU’s large dual-degree programs in mainland China: Sias University and Shenyang Normal University.
We continue to evaluate potential new partnerships of various types that arise through contacts made by faculty and administrators or through strategic identification of areas of the world to serve. Our partnerships and outreach programs must be of mutual benefit to both institutions and organizations and follow proper procedures to ensure the quality of academic program activities, while also protecting the integrity of the university and its academic reputation.
