Biography:
CPT Lonnie C. McIntyre began his military career in October of 1993, serving as a Petroleum Supply Specialist for the North Carolina National Guard. CPT McIntyre went on to serve in the Active Duty Army, United States Marine Corps, Air Force Reserve and U.S. Army Reserve before receiving his commission through the Army National Guard Officer Candidate School. He has served in the military for over twenty-five years.
His past assignments include Administrative Officer, HQ 23th Regt (RTI), Battalion S1, 49th Missile Defense Battalion, Executive Officer/Sensor Operator, 49th Missile Defense Battalion, Platoon Leader, Echo Company, 230th BSB, and other positions at various echelons. His deployments include Bosnia – Herzegovina, Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan) and three tours in Iraq supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom (Fallujah, Ramadi and Al Asad).
His civilian education includes a Master of Arts in Executive Leadership, Liberty University and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts, Ashford University. His military education includes Adjutant General Captains Career Course, Company Level Pre-Command Course, Air Defense Artillery Reclassification Course, Ground-Based Mid-Course Missile Defense Operator’s Course, Quartermaster Officer Basic Course, and numerous other military courses.
His federal military awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Combat Action Ribbon with Gold Star, Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Ribbon with Bronze Star, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with bronze star, Iraq Campaign Medal with two bronze stars, United Nations Medal, NATO medal, Basic Air Force Space Badge, Drill Sergeant Badge and the Parachutist Badge.
CPT McIntyre also works as a Platoon Trainer/Instructor for the Kansas Army National Guard Officer Candidate School. He lives in Salina, KS with his wife the former Paula Blanks. They have four children, Darell, Morgan, Madison and Veronica.
