Music Theory Placement
Information on music theory placement exams is found here.
Aural Skills Placement
Students who receive a passing grade (P or HP) on a theory placement exam will be given the corresponding aural skills exam, including both singing and dictation. Specific information about this exam will be provided to qualifying students when they are notified of their passing theory score.
Group Piano Placement
Students wishing to place out of piano will need to demonstrate the following skills in an individual interview scheduled during the first week of class. Students are responsible for contacting Dr. Ofcarcik (jjofcarcik@fhsu.edu) to schedule this interview.
