Requirements of the Online Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy Degree

The Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy is a 120 credit hour degree program.  It consists of 30 credit hours of philosophy courses (18 hours of required core courses and 12 hours of philosophy electives).  An additional 90 credit hours are required (including the 55-hour general education requirements and 10 hours of a foreign language).  The remaining 25 credit hours are "free electives".

Students in the philosophy program are trained by core faculty to fearlessly pursue questions wherever they may lead.  Our online philosophy courses provide key learning outcomes and can be integrated into other academic programs such as critical thinking, evaluating values, and interdisciplinary investigation.
