Kelly Center counselors (785-628-4401) are available to help students put the current situation into a manageable perspective. The Student Health Center (785-628-4293) is available to advise students who are ill with respiratory symptoms. Patients may call to obtain access to a nurses and receive advice on appropriate care.

Hays Medical Center has implemented a COVID-19 hotline at 877-261-7140. Citizens may call and speak with a nurse and receive guidance on accessing care 7 days per week between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Actions everyone can and should take to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other respiratory infections include:
- Wash your hands with soap and water thoroughly and often for at least 20 seconds.
- If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Stay home when you are sick.
- Practice cough hygiene: cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
- Clean and disinfect frequently-touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning product.
- Wear a mask in public places to prevent the spread of the virus.
