During the Study Abroad 101 Session, students who are interested in stepping out of their comfort zone and are ready to take that first step will learn how to get started. Students will learn the specifics about the program they are interested in whether that be an international exchange, a national exchange, a semester or year at one of our Program Partner Universities, or maybe a Summer Internship. Whatever your goals and aspirations are, we can help make the dream of study abroad come true!

We will get students started with their applications and answer all questions about the process. We have many options at FHSU--we will help guide students in choosing the program that is best for them. Our goal is to have a student Tiger Ambassador at each one of our sessions to give you a firsthand account of their personal journey and experience with Study Abroad. Study Abroad 101 is your first step to the OTHER SIDE OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE! Before coming to Study Abroad 101 make sure to complete the Program Interest Profile on our Tiger Link page:

Study Abroad 301 is a celebration of your final countdown to departure! Those attending Study Abroad 301 are just a few weeks or months away from the adventure of a lifetime! Before you depart, we will discuss the day to day survival in another country, how to pack efficiently, what to take with you, how to get through airport security and customs, and many other items on our pre-departure check off list. We will also discuss important topics including booking your airline tickets, finalizing your housing arrangements at your Host University, managing your money abroad, paying your fees to FHSU, and completing all the required documents for FHSU before you leave.  Let’s start the countdown to ADVENTURE in Study Abroad 301!

All Students participating in a Faculty Led short-term program during the summer are encouraged to attend a Study Abroad 301 Session.
