About Tiger Nation
Fort Hays State University is a proud member of the Hays community and Ellis County. Over 700 faculty and staff and approximately 4,000 students live in the Ellis County area, supporting local businesses every day. FHSU values its partnerships and understands the importance of relationship building while providing our students with the best education, experiences, and resources they need to be successful.
To provide opportunities for all business/organizations to show their Tiger spirit, we offer three Tiger Nation Partner options. The Tiger Gear on Friday (TGOF) and Tiger Card options give those businesses who wish to offer a discount to students or the community can choose one or both options to expand their involvement. We also offer the Tiger Spirit Partner option to allow businesses/organizations to show FHSU support when discounts or services are not available.
The purpose of the partner program is to:
- Inspire Tiger Spirit on campus and throughout the community
- Celebrate campus culture by highlighting unique programs, people, and the ethic of care for one another that is a great strength of FHSU and Hays
- Strengthen connections between FHSU and the people and institutions of Hays
It takes a village to grow a tradition, so we need your help. Post images of you, your friends, and your colleagues in Tiger gear on social media and use the hashtag #TGOF or #TigerNation.
We welcome our community partners to join this tiger tradition!
