Reset Your TigerNetID Password
(Alternate Method)
Only follow steps on this page if you have already activated your TigerNetID. Activate TigerNetID
Note: TigerNetIDs cannot be registered or reset from 4:00am to 4:30am Central time every Sunday and Thursday to allow for system maintenance.
Choose "Student" or "Faculty/Staff" to view instructions on how to reset your TigerNetID:
- Go to the Password Reset Portal at: password.fhsu.edu
- Enter your TigerNetID Username.
- Correctly answer 3 of your security questions.
- Enter a new password.
The instructions to reset your TigerNetID password vary slightly depending on whether you are located on or off campus, and whether you have an FHSU-provided computer. Please choose one of the three options below and then follow the steps to reset your password.
- Disconnect any phones, tablets, or other mobile devices currently connected to the TigerNet Wi-Fi, except the device you're using to reset your password.
- Go to the Password Reset Portal at: password.fhsu.edu
- Enter your TigerNetID Username.
- Correctly answer 3 of your security questions.
- Enter a new password.
- Lock your computer using Windows+L and then log back in with your new password, or reboot your computer and log back in with your new password.
- Reconnect to TigerNet Wi-Fi (this may require manual intervention on some devices):
- FHSU-provided Windows laptops: Your device will ask you to input your username and password. Use your TigerNetID username and new password.
- FHSU-provided Mac laptops and desktops: You may need to follow extra steps to update your password on your Mac. See Mac password instructions.
- Android, iOS, and Windows phone and tablets: See Forget Wi-Fi Network Settings.
- Follow these directions on your FHSU-provided laptop. Disconnect from the VPN, if applicable.
- Go to the Password Reset Portal at: password.fhsu.edu
- Enter your TigerNetID Username.
- Correctly answer 3 of your security questions.
- Enter a new password.
- Sign out of GlobalProtect VPN, and then connect with your new password.
- Lock your computer using Windows+L and then log back in with your new password, or reboot your computer and log back in with your new password.
- If you use your laptop on campus, the next time you come to campus, you'll need to follow these steps to reconnect to the TigerNet Wi-Fi (this may require manual intervention on some devices):
- FHSU-provided Windows laptops: Your device will ask you to input your username and password. Use your TigerNetID username and new password.
- FFHSU-provided Mac laptops and desktops: You may need to follow extra steps to update your password on your Mac. See Mac password instructions.
- Android, iOS, and Windows phone and tablets: See Forget Wi-Fi Network Settings.
- Go to the Password Reset Portal at: password.fhsu.edu
- Enter your TigerNetID Username.
- Correctly answer 3 of your security questions.
- Enter a new password.
- If you use your laptop on campus, the next time you come to campus, you'll need to follow these steps to reconnect to the TigerNet Wi-Fi (this may require manual intervention on some devices):
- FHSU-provided Windows laptops: your device will ask you to input your username and password. Use your TigerNetID username and new password.
