Website Redesign
We are pleased to announce the launch of the redesigned Fort Hays State University website.
The new website project has been in development for more than a year and is rooted in brand identity research involving faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community members. The primary goals of the redesign included a focus on modern clean and attractive aesthetic, user-experience design, clear and simple site navigation, and architecture to strengthen our brand reputation and lead positive recruitment and revenue growth.
The design and storytelling imagery and writing in the new website capture our Fort Hays State supporting nature, our “roll up your sleeves” spirit of innovation, and our status as an award-winning university with awesome students and devoted faculty.
In addition to the new design and simplified navigation, new pages have been added to allow current students, faculty, and staff to access frequently used applications, logins, and pages easily.
- Students- the new "Students" page offers a quick resource for students to find the apps, programs, logins, and resources they use daily for success at FHSU including Blackboard, TigerTracks, the Forsyth Library, and Gmail.
- Faculty/Staff- A new Faculty/Staff page brings together frequently used resources and logins to one page.
The website redesign is built over the top of the current FHSU website's content. It is essentially a new frame on the current website to improve navigation and user experience. This also means that any page urls that current users have bookmarked or use frequently will still work after the new website launches.
A special thank you to the FHSU Brand Assessment and Website Redesign Committee, the URM team, the Office of Technology Services, and all those who have participated in the Carnegie Dartlet research and website design process.
We are excited to launch this redesigned website with a focus on delivering an exceptional user experience and to share the FHSU experience. The new design will help us tell that story of FHSU's dedication, innovation, and community of support. We welcome any feedback and suggestions for ways that we can continue to improve user experience. Please email webmaster@fhsu.edu if you have any suggestions for how we can improve.
