At Fort Hays State University, online sociology courses are taught via the Internet. As a sociology major, you have the opportunity to craft a program of study with your advisor that best suits your personal and professional interests. Along with a set of core course, you can choose from a wide range of elective courses to complete your degree. In addition to the BA or BS in Sociology, you can choose from seven online certificate programs that enable you to gain more in-depth knowledge in a particular topic, such as grant writing, work in a nonprofit corporation, community development, sociology of aging, and life stages and transitions.
