Scholarships For International Students
Opportunities are available to you as an international student at FHSU. Once students have been admitted, they are eligible to apply for these various scholarships.
FRESHMEN SCHOLARSHIP
Award: $1,500 to $3,750 per year
Renewable: Yes, for three additional years if eligibility criteria is maintained
Criteria: Scholarships are awarded based on ACT/SAT score and GPA*
Who can apply? First-time**, full-time, on-campus students
How to apply? No need to apply. Scholarship is automatically awarded if student meets the criteria.

**A first-time freshman is defined as a student who has not attended another school after graduating directly from high school. Fort Hays State University is a student’s first university in which they register.
NOTE: An ACT/SAT score is not required to apply for admission as an international student. It is only required to qualify for this scholarship.
TRANSFER SCHOLARSHIP
Award: $500 to $1,500
Renewable: See chart below
Criteria: Scholarships are awarded based on cumulative GPA. See chart
Who can apply? New, on-campus transfer* students.
How to apply? No need to apply. Scholarship is automatically awarded if you meet the criteria.
*A transfer student has attended another post-secondary educational institution (university, college, technical/vocational school, etc.) after competing high school.
FHSU World Ready International Scholarship

STOUFFER SCHOLARSHIP

Organization of American States (OAS) -- Rowe Fund program
Offers financial aid to international students (F or J visa holders) from Latin America and Caribbean countries currently registered at Fort Hays State University. This supplementary financial aid is intended to pay a portion of their tuition or living expenses. Applications are received and considered on a monthly basis.

Criteria: Applicants will be selected based on sport performance, academic eligibility, and meeting both FHSU and NCAA requirements.
Who can apply? All student-athletes who meet the scholarship criteria.
