External Grants
Seeking funding for scholarly activities can be overwhelming but the Office of Scholarship and Sponsored Projects (OSSP) is available to assist faculty, staff, and students throughout the process. The following resources will serve as a starting place.
What is a Grant?
Use this guide to determine if funds received from external sources should be treated as a grant/contract or a gift.

Funding opportunities are made available by federal, state, foundation, and corporate organizations. The OSSP receives information on upcoming funding opportunities but you can explore popular resources in the following list.

The American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) offers current information about grant opportunities, provides a library of funded proposals, and can provide additional resources for member institutions.
