With a Bachelor of Science in Technology Studies (Construction Management) – offered on-campus – you will have the insight to oversee the entire construction project! The Construction Management concentration prepares graduates for a career in the construction management industry.
Throughout the program, students learn the concepts and skills needed for success in construction as well as the business and management skills for effective leadership in the construction industry. In addition to the industrial technology, business management, and liberal education courses, coursework in the concentration includes hands-on learning in the areas of planning and design, estimating and scheduling, construction graphics, building construction, and mechanical and electrical systems.
- Manage budgets, project expenses, and construction workers
- Collaborate with architects and civil engineers
- Monitor construction timelines, oversee job-site safety, and ensures compliance with building codes
- Communicates with subcontractors and reports to construction/property owner
