Head Rodeo Coach
The FHSU Head Rodeo Coach is Guy Forell. In the past, Forell coached at both Colby Community College and Northwestern Oklahoma State University. Some of his past students are successful rodeo coaches themselves and they include a PRCA World Champion, Wrangler National Finals Rodeo Qualifiers and a PBR Rookie of the Year. Coach Forell has had success in the Central Plains Region with several regional placings and College National Finals contestants.
As a competitor, Coach Forell has qualified for the PRCA Prairie Circuit Finals, the PRCA Mountain States Circuit Finals and was also the KSRA Finals Champion and Rookie of the Year. He is a PRCA Gold Card member and has worked overseas in Paris, France as part of the All American Rodeo and Wild West Show. Along with his competition, he has served as a Rodeo Judge, Announcer, and Bullfighter and has held professional cards in nearly every category.
He is excited to be part of the FHSU Rodeo program and looks forward to working with all of his student athletes while moving the program forward. Coach Forell holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree from Northwestern Oklahoma State University.

Trevor Meier

Assistant Coach
The FHSU Assistant Coach is Trevor Meier. Meier joined us in fall of 2024 and is excited to start his coaching career alongside Forell. He was a member of Central Plains region himself competing for Garden City Community College, and Oklahoma Panhandle State University from 2018-2022.
Although FHSU being the start of his coaching career he brings a list of accomplishments and knowledge to help lead the Tiger rodeo team. As a competitor, Meier was a Kansas High School Association rookie of the year and National Qualifier, Reserve Jr Iron man champion at the Lazy E arena, Multiple time Qualifier to the KPRA Finals in Calf roping and Steer wrestling, and holds PRCA All Around titles.
He looks forward to helping student athletes achieve their full potential and give them skills and knowledge to carry in, and past their college careers to help them thrive inside and out of the rodeo arena. Coach Meier holds a Bachelor's Degree in Ag Business from Oklahoma Panhandle State University.
