Area of Emphasis: Psychology Studies
To receive an emphasis Psychology Studies, the student must complete 12 credit hours in Psychology. A sample of courses might include but are not limited to:
PSY 100 - General Psychology
This course involves a survey of principles related to human and animal behavior. The focus will be on the evaluation of theories and methods of analyses, related research, and practical applications of principles of behavior. Requisite Information: Additional Media DVD
PSY 300 - Abnormal Psychology
A study of the classification, description, and treatment of human psychological disorders. Requisite Information: PSY 100
PSY 340 - Social Psychology
This course involves the study of the individual in social interaction and social influence situations. The focus will be on the investigation of theoretical, empirical, and practical issues related to interpersonal behavior and group processes. Requisite Information: PSY 100
*The emphasis in Psychology Studies can include any combination of course work from the Psychology department for a total of 12 hours.
