Fields of Specialization:
My scholarship is broadly focused in four lines of research: juvenile corrections, gender and crime, rural criminology, and gender-based violence. I am most interested in studying the gendered nature of crime specific to juvenile justice involved girls. I remain actively involved in the prevention and education of crimes defined as gender-based violence with work at the university and community level. Lastly, I remain a Licensed Master’s Level Psychologist and focus some research on the intersection of psychology, criminology, and sociology.
