All presenters are expected to register for this symposium.

Abstracts
Region 2 of the National De-escalation Training Center (NDTC) at Fort Hays State University invites you to submit an abstract for review and consideration to present during the first Evidence-based Policing Symposium.
Submission Deadline for Abstracts: preferred December 15, 2023
Abstracts are still being accepted.
Abstracts should be submitted only one time and consist of no more than 150 words to include:
- purpose of your research
- major findings
- conclusions
Abstracts will be accepted for the following presentations:
- Paper Presentations: Panels of four to five presenters discussing completed works.
- Roundtables: Four to five discussants with expertise of a specific topic.
- Training Seminar: Presentation to introduce a law enforcement training program. This seminar should not provide training but rather introduce guests to programs available to law enforcement agencies.
For consideration
We will accept original and recently published papers for consideration of presentation.

NDTC De-escalation: Principles & Practice
NDTC Region 2 trainers will facilitate the De-escalation: Principles & Practice course Wednesday and Thursday at no additional cost to attendees (first 20 to register). Attendees must attend both days of training and will receive a certificate of completion. This course is certified by IADLEST and approved by the COPS Office.
