International Business and Economics
Why study International Business and Economics? The world is getting smaller every day. Corporations, government agencies and non-profit organizations are looking for employees who understand the international world and possess cultural sensitivity. Career opportunities are increasing for people with the knowledge of the international environment within which both domestic and foreign businesses operate. A quarter of the United States' gross national product results from international trade. As firms worldwide become more dependent upon international trade - many multinationals do business in more than 100 countries - the need for graduates with business and economic skills continues to increase.
A major in International Business and Economics offers a broad base of traditional business courses that provide you the unique perspective on doing business globally. Unlike other business degrees, this program draws more heavily from other areas of study, such as: political science, sociology, geography, or foreign language.
