The Back to School Party is your first opportunity to effectively gain awareness for your organization and the services it provides. The following guidelines have been adjusted from previous years to address the health and safety of our students.
Guidelines:
- Recognized Student Organizations will be provided one (1) table at no charge. Only student organizations will be permitted to have a booth for this event.
- Each booth is limited to one representative per organization. Tables are expected to be staffed for the duration of the event.
- Booths will be limited (first to complete registration) to allow for a six feet distance between each booth.
- Chairs will not be provided, but groups are permitted to bring their own.
- Due to limitations and safety concerns, we will not be utilizing power in the quad.
- No liquor stores, tobacco establishments, or pornographic enterprises will be permitted to register. Student Engagement reserves the right to deny requests from any entity that does not align with the values of Fort Hays State University.
- Groups are not permitted to promote credit cards on-campus.
- Student Engagement reserves the right to deny requests which include activities that may be harmful or disruptive to participants. Examples include, but are not limited to: water activities, live animals, inflatables, open flames, weapons, etc.
- No sales, giveaways, merchandise, coupons, etc. are allowed
- Hand-outs and giveaways will not be permitted
- We encourage student organizations to use a QR code (which will link to a website/social media page) to engage students rather than handouts
- Food will not be provided by booths or food services.
- Changes to table registrations will not be accepted past Noon on Wednesday, August 12, 2020. All changes must be coordinated with Student Engagement.
- Participants may begin setting up no sooner than 3:30 PM on Monday, August 17 or Tuesday, August 18. Organizations should check in at event registration prior to setting up. The picnic will take place from 4:30 – 7:30 PM each day.
- All participants will be required to wear a face covering.
- Sanitizing stations will be located throughout the quad.
- We will include signs reminding participants of health and safety concerns at the event and in advertising
- Any items left behind after the event concludes will the thrown away.

All organizations that wish to participate in the Back to School Party need to submit a table reservation form through TigerLink. All reservations will be confirmed via email to the contact person provided on the form.
The registration deadline is Noon on Wednesday, August 12, 2020.
Table Assignments
Table assignments will be completed following the registration deadline and the contact indicated on the reservation form will be notified of their organization's placement. An updated list will also be posted below.

Given the COVID-19 pandemic, we will be vigilant as the days and weeks pass. Currently, we have made adjustments to the Back to School event; however, ALL EVENTS are subject to change as we prioritize the safety of our students and our campus.
