The Cretaceous Western Interior Seaway: Depositional Environment and Paleontology
The American Association of Petroleum Geologists Midcontinent Section (AAPG MCS) is pleased to announce the 6th Biennial AAPG MCS Conference scheduled for October 18-20, 2024, at Fort Hays State University, Hays, Kansas. We invite geoscientists, researchers, industry professionals, and students to submit abstracts for the 6th Biennial AAPG MCS Conference.
This conference provides a platform to present and discuss the latest advancements in geoscience tools, field geology, research in geosciences. We welcome submissions Poster presentations on a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:
- Petroleum Exploration and Production
- Paleontology and Paleoenvironments
- Basin Analysis and Modeling
- Reservoir Characterization and Management
- Stratigraphy and Depositional Environments
- Unconventional Resources
- Carbon Capture, Utilization & Storage
- Critical Minerals and Energy Transition
- Geomechanics and Engineering
- Environmental and Regulatory Challenges
- Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) Technologies
- Water and Environment
- Case Studies from the Midcontinent Region
Abstract Submission
Submissions of abstracts will be accepted September 1st - October 4th.
Submissions will not be reviewed or accepted until registration is complete and paid.
Dates
- Abstract Submission Deadline: September 27, deadline extended to October 4th
- Notification of Acceptance: September 30, extended to October 7th
- Conference Dates: October 18-20, 2024
Submission guidelines for review and acceptance.
- Submission form must be complete with all fields completed in entirety.
- At least 1 author must be registered to attend.
- All presenters must be registered for the field conference to participate as presenters.
- Abstract Text should not be more than 250 words.
