Certificate in Business Foundations for IT
The Business Foundations for IT certificate, available on campus and online, will give students interested in Information Technology a foundation of business practices to build upon in their careers.
It will help you:
- Bridge the gap between Information Technology and business principles.
- Enhance decision-making by ensuring technology solutions align with strategic business objectives.
- Develop strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical team members.

- BCOM 210 Introduction to Professional Development
- BCOM 301 Strategic Business Communication
- INF 304 Management Information Systems
- INF 610 Public Policy, Law, Ethics in Telecommunications
- MGT 101 Introduction to Business
No grade lower than a "C" will be accepted toward the certificate. All courses must be taken for credit.
How to Claim Your Certificate
To claim your certificate on completion of required courses provide documentation showing the grade received and the semester of completion. No grade lower than a "C" will be accepted toward the certificate. All courses must be taken through FHSU to count for credit toward the certificate.
