Management Information Systems Concentration
About the Program
The Management Information Systems concentration is offered through the Department of Informatics, whose mission is creating individuals with the skills, knowledge, and creativity to succeed in the 21st century.
Fort Hays State University is pleased to offer a concentration in the Masters of Liberal Studies (MLS) in Management Information Systems. This concentration includes developing a mastery of Management Information Systems theory, processes, and applications. Students may also mix Computer Networking, Web Development, Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or Computer Science when customizing their plan of study (with the approval of the student's advisor).
All required courses are offered through distance learning and do not require campus visits.
The Masters of Liberal Studies is a 31-hour interdisciplinary graduate program that is offered on campus and online. It consists of a 10-hour IDS core, a 15-hour MIS core (including the culminating project) and 6 hours of electives.
Program Admissions Requirements
This concentration requires a 3.0 GPA or higher on their last 60 undergraduate credit hours.
The program has established these deadlines for priority application consideration:
- Fall - March 31
- Spring - October 31
- Summer - January 31
