FHSU students participate in Model United Nations
HAYS, Kan. -- Disarmament, international trade and the war in Afghanistan are just a few issues that 25 Fort Hays State University students will discuss this week at the Midwest Model United Nations in St. Louis, Mo.
FHSU Model UN Club members will participate in a model United Nations simulation with students from 60 other universities. Students role play as United Nations delegates addressing worldwide issues. This year, FHSU students will represent the countries of Afghanistan, Cambodia and Paraguay.
"This is the largest FHSU group we've sent to St. Louis in over a decade," said Dr. Curt Brungardt, Omer G. Voss Distinguished Professor of Leadership Studies and program advisor. "This shows that today's students have a growing interest in world affairs and global issues."
