FHSU student is semi-finalist for Naftzger award
HAYS, Kan. -- Fort Hays State University graduate student Emily Cline, Lyons, was a 2010 semi-finalist in the Wichita Symphony Naftzger Young Artist competition. Sixty-two student musicians from Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma competed for $11,000 in prizes.
Students competed in one of three divisions: piano, instrumental and voice. Cline competed in the voice category as a mezzo-soprano.
