SuperCroc News
A great new exhibit, "The Science of SuperCroc," which has a centerpiece of a crocodile that was 40 feet long and weighed 10 tons, will open at Fort Hays State University's Sternberg Museum of Natural History on March 13.
What is involved in converting truckloads of crated crocodile pieces into a museum-quality exhibit?
That question and others will be answered during a news conference at 2 p.m. Monday, March 1, at the museum.
President Edward H. Hammond and Museum Director Reese Barrick will talk about the exhibit and the decision to bring it to the FHSU museum. Following their remarks, Sternberg Museum Exhibits Director Greg Walters and Carl Gustafson from Project Exploration, which owns the exhibit, will demonstrate how the exhibit is unpacked and assembled.
We hope to see you at the Sternberg at 2 p.m. on Monday for this "sneak peek" at a fascinating traveling exhibit.
