2 FHSU communication studies faculty members honored for paper
Two professors of communication studies at Fort Hays State University
were honored when their research paper was presented in the "Top Four Papers in the Intercultural Communication" division at the Central States Communication Association Annual Conference held recently in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Dr. Margaret Miller Butcher, assistant professor, and Dr. Carrol Haggard, associate professor, wrote "An Exploratory Investigation of the Relationship between Ethnocentrism and Intercultural Willingness to Communicate in Chinese College Students." It was the second-ranked paper of all submissions to the division.
Their study examined whether ethnocentrism scores could predict students' willingness to communication interculturally.
