HAYS, Kan. -- A collection of photographs, "Through the Eyes of a Natruralist," by Dr. Jerry Choate, former FHSU biology professor and director of Fort Hays State University's Sternberg Museum of Natural History, will open with a reception from 6 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 30.

"My dad might have been an amateur photographer, but he took it very seriously. Because of that, he took some truly amazing shots. I think it's wonderful that the Sternberg has honored him by showing his work," said Judd Choate.

This memorial exhibition highlights the artistic talents Choate concealed behind his acclaimed teaching and research activities. Refreshments will be served.
