HAYS, Kan. -- Poets, writers, singers, dancers, mimes, musicians, rockers and artists of all shapes and sizes will converge on the Memorial Union's Cody Commons from 7 to 10 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 4 on the Fort Hays State University campus.
"Clash of the Arts" is organized by Jamison Green, Dallas, Texas, freshman, and the student organization "We-Speak" to bring different arts and talents together on one stage to bring the diversity of art to the attention of FHSU.
"We need to fill the slots for artists who love to display their crafts," said Green. "This is a non-profit event, so all performers would perform out of the kindness of their hearts."
When asked why he was organizing the event, Green said it is "so people can have a better appreciation of the arts, and artists on campus and around the local community can display their talents."
