HAYS, Kan. -- The Fort Hays State University Fuse Film Series has three more movies to show this season.

Fuse films are chosen on the basis of creativity and thoughtfulness with an overall aim of bringing together people from widely diverse backgrounds. It is sponsored by the Office of Diversity Affairs and the Office Student Affairs.

All films are at 7 p.m. in Cody Commons in the lower level of the Memorial Union.

"And the Band Played On" will play on Wednesday, Dec. 1, during AIDS Awareness Week. The Gay-Straight Alliance will help sponsor this event. In this movie, Don Francis (Matthew Modine) and his tiny band of researchers at the Centers for Disease Control battle ignorance, indifference, prejudice and politics in their fight against AIDS.

"Death at a Funeral" is coming Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011. A dysfunctional clan reunites to mourn the passing of the family patriarch, and a respectful funeral quickly turns into an all-out fiasco marked by bitter resentment, blackmail attempts, misplaced bodies and scandalous revelations.

The last movie, "Paper Clips" will be shown on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2011. The Holocaust Remembrance Committee will help to sponsor this event. This documentary tells the story of a rural Tennessee middle school class that goes on a quest to collect six million paperclips to represent each Jewish person killed in the Holocaust.
