FHSU musicians to perform All-American Song Recital on World Voice Day

HAYS, Kan. -- Dr. Joseph Perniciaro, assistant professor of music and theatre at Fort Hays State University, will present an "All-American Song Recital" at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, at Palmer Recital Hall in Malloy Hall on the FHSU campus.
He will be assisted by assistant professors of music and theatre Dr. Irena Ravitskaya, Matt Means and Benjamin Morris-Cline.
Works include favorites by Stephen Foster and Aaron Copland among many others.
Tickets are $6 for adults; $4 for senior citizens and youths 12 to 17; and free for FHSU students with a Tiger Card and children 11 and under.World Voice Day -- observed every April 16 by otolaryngologists-head and neck surgeons and other voice health professionals worldwide -- encourages men and women to assess their vocal health and take action to improve or maintain good voice habits. The American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery has sponsored the U.S. observance of World Voice Day since its inception in 2002.
