HAYS, Kan. -- Exploring social, political, visual and moral events, the Todd Christensen Exhibition sponsored by Creative Arts Society at Fort Hays State University will open with an artist's reception from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, April 29, in the Moss-Thorns Gallery of Art.

The exhibit will coincide with the annual Spring Gallery Walk.

Christensen, assistant professor of art at Highlands University, Las Vegas, N.M.,is a visiting artist whose mixed media artwork deals with his observations of the world and of social interactions.

"I create a lot of work out of book covers and book pages," said Christensen. "I tend to use hundreds of smaller pieces to create a larger overall shape, similar to how life is composed of the people around me."
