HAYS, Kan. -- Dr. Jeffery Burnett, associate professor of health and human performance at Fort Hays State University, received the Outstanding Advising Award in the Faculty Academic Advising category from the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA).

The Outstanding Advising Award is the highest honor given by NACADA for faculty advisors. NACADA goal is to promote quality academic advising and professional development of its membership to enhance the educational development of students.

Burnett will be presented with the award in Denver, Colo., at the NACADA Annual Conference on Oct. 2, 2011.
