FHSU professor gets national recognition for academic advising

HAYS, Kan. -- Dr. Jeffery Burnett, associate professor of health and human performance at Fort Hays State University received the Outstanding New Advisor Award from the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA).
Burnett received this award for his demonstration of qualities associated with academic advising of students and administration. The goal of the NACADA is to promote quality academic advising and professional development of its membership to enhance the educational development of students.
Burnett will be presented with the award in Denver, Colo., at the NACADA Annual Conference on Oct. 2, 2011.
