FHSU student introduces The New York Times editorial page editor at ADP national meeting

HAYS, Kan. -- Carolyn Campbell, Wheat Ridge, Colo., sophomore at Fort Hays State University, recently had the honor of introducing Andrew Rosenthal, editorial page editor for The New York Times, at the American Democracy Project national meeting in Orlando, Fla.
Rosenthal spoke about the importance that newspapers serve in a democracy.
More than 350 faculty members, students, administrators and representatives gathered in Orlando for the meeting, with 75 of them being students.
Other FHSU students who attended were Tisha Bieker, Colby senior; Cassandra Grigoryan, Lenexa special student; and Kelcie Hamilton, North Platte, Neb., sophomore.
FHSU is a national leader in the ADP movement, which encourages American state colleges and universities to prepare the next generation of informed, engaged citizens for the American democracy.
