HAYS, Kan. -- The public is welcome to enjoy Jazz on the Quad, sponsored by Fort Hays State University's Office of Diversity Affairs, from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 31, on the FHSU Quad.

Brad Dawson, assistant professor of music and theatre, and the Phat Cat Jazz Group, a group of FHSU students, will perform various arrangements of instrumental jazz music.

They encourage visitors to bring lawn chairs, blankets and even dinner for great live entertainment and an evening of fun. The new Starbucks will also be open in the Memorial Union.

In case of rain, Jazz on the Quad will move to the union's Fort Hays Ballroom.
