HAYS, Kan. -- Dennis King, director of the Virtual College and learning technologies at Fort Hays State University, was selected to attend the Leadership Academy of the recent Instructional Technology Council. The academy was in Colorado Springs.

The Leadership Academy was an opportunity for deans, directors, coordinators, technologists, faculty and anyone else involved in distance learning to explore new skills, share experiences, and interact with seasoned leaders in the field.

The ITC is a non-profit organization that raises awareness about the benefits of distance learning, instructional telecommunications and future needs and possibilities. ITC tracks federal legislation that will affect distance learning, conducts annual professional development meetings, supports research and provides a forum for members to share expertise and materials.
