HAYS, Kan. -- A presentation called "Why do we need Global Leadership" will be presented at Fort Hays State University's Times Talk from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at Forsyth Library.

LeAnn Brown, instructor of leadership studies, Brett Whitaker, instructor of leadership studies, and Kelly Nuckolls, El Dorado junior, will lead the discussion.

The presentation will revolve around an article from The New York Times titled, "A Rudderless World," by Kishore Mahbubani, dean of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore.

"We will provide an overview of global leadership, discuss current research in the field, introduce FHSU's Global Leadership Project and encourage students, staff and faculty to determine ways to develop their global leadership competencies," said Brown. "We will also discuss opportunities for individuals to get involved in global issues regardless of location."
