HAYS, Kan. -- Just in time for the holiday season the Dickens Carolers, Fort Hays State University choirs and any students, faculty or staff who enjoy caroling, are taking requests to sing at events around the community.
The Dickens Carolers, named after author Charles Dickens, will begin the holiday caroling season with the tree lighting ceremony on Tuesday, Nov. 29, from 6 to 7 p.m. in front of Sheridan Hall on the FHSU campus.
"Anyone will be accepted to the group," said Dr. Terry Crull, assistant professor of music and theatre. "There are only two rules: We don't practice, and we don't dress up, just wear Christmas clothes. I like seeing the joy that carolers bring to everybody. Everybody knows the songs, and it's just a lot of fun."
Caroling books will be provided to all members while performing. To join the Dickens Carolers, contact Crull at tacrull@fhsu.edu.
