Elliott and Crowley to travel to India as a part of higher education delegation

HAYS, Kan. -- Cynthia Elliott, assistant provost for strategic partnerships and dean of distance learning, and Dr. Timothy Crowley, dean of the graduate school and assistant provost for internationalization at Fort Hays State University, will travel to India later this month as a part of the Institute of International Education higher education delegation.
The IIE is a world leader in the international exchange of people and ideas. An independent, nonprofit organization founded in 1919, IIE has network of more than 20 offices and over 1,000 member institutions worldwide.
The delegation of high level administrators from 11 U.S. colleges and universities will go on a study tour through three different cities in India to strengthen ties in higher education. The U.S. educators will spend one week visiting campuses and meeting with higher education officials from Jan. 29 to Feb. 3 to learn about educational partnership priorities from the Indian perspective.
The U.S. institutions participating in the 2012 program with India were chosen from a competitive candidate pool and represent the scope of U.S. institutions interested in building ties with India.
